Anton joined us from PepsiCo, where he was the head of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and business development for PepsiCo Sub-Saharan Africa. He executed the acquisition of Pioneer Foods, which was one of PepsiCo’s largest acquisitions outside of the United States. Anton has over 20 years of experience in the multinational fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and food industry in Africa and the Middle East. He drove PepsiCo’s expansion into challenging emerging markets, navigating complex acquisitions, and spearheading strategic business development initiatives, establishing local manufacturing and commercial operations in key emerging markets, such as Nigeria, Ethiopia, Kenya, and South Africa’s emerging consumer space. In addition, Anton led PepsiCo’s venture capital business, investing in innovative businesses across the food and beverage (F&B) value chain.

He joined Goldman Sachs while still a student at Cambridge as an equity research analyst covering the pan-European media sector. Thereafter he joined the Mergers & Acquisitions (Investment Banking) business where he was promoted to associate and worked in London and Johannesburg on various large South African and cross-border transactions. Chris joined Investec in 2006 as an analyst in the Africa Fund team with the final designation of Head of Frontier and Emerging Markets where he headed up various teams and businesses within South Africa and London across traditional public equity, private equity and real estate asset classes focused on South Africa, the African continent and Emerging and Frontier Markets. He serves as chairman of the Badawi Scholarship fund and the University of Cape Town Private Equity Advisory Committee with a remit to commercialise and fund IP and Spin Outs from the University.

After 17 years in the UK he left UBS in 2016 to relocate his family back to Cape Town.

(University of Stellenbosch), CA(SA), CTA, CFA: Jaap started his career at the Trust Building Society in 1984 and joined Senekal, Mouton & Kitshoff Securities in 1988. He co-founded the PSG group and PSG Konsult in 1996. Previously, Jaap was a board member of PSG Group and chairman of PSG Konsult (1998 – 2013). Jaap is the founding non-executive Chairman of 12Cape as well as an active local and international property investor and partner at VSP Europe.

BBusSc (Hons) (Actuarial Science) (University of Cape Town), MBA (Stanford University): Hamish started his career as management consultant at McKinsey & Company (2 years in South Africa and 5 years in the USA). At McKinsey, he focused on business/operational turnarounds, primarily in mining, industrials and pharmaceuticals sectors. Hamish decided to leave McKinsey in order to practise (as operator) what he had preached (as consultant). This saw him in various turnaround roles at AfriSam Cement, including as Commercial Manager for subsidiary Tanga Cement (a listed company in Tanzania). After AfriSam, Hamish joined Neopak, a South African paper and packaging manufacturing company owned at the time by Ethos Private Equity. At Neopak, Hamish directed a significant business turnaround (initially as Commercial Executive and later as CEO) and oversaw the successful exit of Ethos in 2024 to Sango Capital, under whom he continues to serve as CEO.

JT’s career started in Construction, initially in South Africa where he transferred through the global construction & services group Bouygues to France initially and then to the UK. He then served time working for a niche London based consultancy specialising in infrastructure projects services, including disputes and expert witness work before it was acquired by an international practice with offices all over the world. This is where JT developed his commercial skills and became astute to advise corporate clients on their real estate and estate management strategies. JT is passionate about his work and the people he works with, and have developed over the years a reputation for delivering outcomes of strategic relevance. First and foremost, J.T. is a dedicated father and husband to his family of four and likes to spend most of his free time with them. Aside from that, JT is a member of the West Lancashire Golf Club and Campion Tennis Club.
